Bob Gorman interviewed by Mark Shubert |
Maybe you know him as BONESNAPPER the bodyguard for Richmond’s premier metal band GWAR. Since 1988 he’s been on stage spilling blood and rocking out. Behind the scenes he’s been crafting the imagery of GWAR through his cartooning and graphic design. GWAR’s comic history starts even before the first song was written. Gorman will take us through his personal comics history as well as the lore of their publications with Last Gasp and the legendary Slave Pit Funnies, one of Richmond’s premier underground comic series. Gorman recently put together an art show for GWAR in Los Angeles’s Beyond The Streets gallery and reprinted his GWAR history art-book LET THERE BE GWAR. |

Julia Gfrörer interviewed by Francesca Lyn |
Comics that are full of gothic horror and sexuality, Gfrörer has been one of comics most singular voices for nearly two decades. Her haunting inkwork pairs well with her visual storytelling that often explores a dark thought or the macabre. With a trilogy of fantastic graphic novels under her belt in the 2010s, she still continues to reign supreme in short form comics. Fantagraphics published a 336 page collection of her self-published & shorter comics called World Within the World that was widely regarded as one of the best books of 2025. |

Carlos Gonzalez interviewed by Noel Freibert |
One of comic's most exciting science fiction voices. Gonzalez oozes out stories with his pencil and thin lined approach that are every bit haunting and strange yet fun and addicting. This year Floating World Comics will release his latest book Everglide, his fourth graphic novel. Inside characters rummage into an abandoned virtual reality headspace that spawns a surreal storyline only Gonzalez can lay out. Gonzalez also makes experimental films and for $10 will call you at 3am, while you’re half dreaming, and tell you a story. |
